A US couple, a wreck, and a wheelchair on the boat

Down To Scuba is a couple’s log, not a trade magazine. They came to Sharm because Egypt was already on the map: she wanted Open Water, he wanted a wreck. Camel was the house they picked. The review is useful because it is slightly out of love with the town and still in love with the water.

They stayed in the hotel, noticed the seasonal prices, and compared the cost of diving to Koh Tao. Ras Mohammed’s Shark and Yolanda day is the set-piece — current on one dive, a swim-through on the next. The land side of Sharm bored him. The diving did not.

The wheelchair sentence

Most Sharm trip reports never mention access. This one does. A diver in a wheelchair was on several boats; the crew got him on, in, and out. The writer files it as an observed fact, not a campaign. Oyster’s later trip page agrees the campus is set up for it. Two independent mentions is why the House page carries the same note.
