Gold, Silver, Bronze — a low score is the prize

Green Fins’ certified-membership page is the decoder ring for every Gold sticker on a Sharm shop window. Assessors score an operation against the code of conduct out of 330. The lower the number, the lower the environmental impact. Gold is 50 or less. Silver and Bronze sit above that. A score of 200 or more no longer earns a public certified listing.

The 2022 “next chapter” reform matters. Membership used to signal a willingness to improve. Reef-World decided that was not enough. Certified members now have to clear a threshold and keep improving on the next annual visit. Digital membership exists for countries without assessors; Egypt is not one of those countries.

What we do not have

We do not have Camel’s private score sheet. We have the house’s public claim — Gold, first in Egypt, high in a global list of hundreds of members — and we have the published rules.
